    I am getting the following error when running a specific executable on Solaris: Invalid instruction (memory dump)

    When I use the pstack command to check the main file, I get the following information:ffffffff7f501f20 ???????? (0, 5, 0, 0, 0, 000000000000000000) ????????? (0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0)pstack: warning: failed to initialize librtld_db; Symbols from shared libraries may not be available

    I’ve compiled makefiles for various Linux and executables and then tried to run them there, and it usually works without problems.can anyone close tell me how to solve this problem since the problem only occurs on Solaris.

    Can anyone help us? Basic tracing required.

    Do most people have more information after that? Online article about an example?

    librtld_db failed to initialize symbols from shared libraries

    I could try using the performance tester I maintain and see what difference it makes
    in our application – there’s still a lot of syscalls in there, I didn’t think it would make much of a difference,
    but I’m not always sure now.

    We would buy an absolute license if you didn’t support
    Solaris, 1 Intel Solaris, 2 HPUX, 2 AIX, and ~4 or 5 additional versions of sparc
    > Nearly all other operating systems/UNIX versions, and if you increase the cost of the license (even for one child seat), then everything becomes quite expensive. Think carefully about why we got a proprietary license for Solaris 6 and not dbx. • We have used gcc on Solaris
    7 and have had no problems so far.

    Congratulations

    I just realized that we need a Sparc 8 machine for this, but pstack output is no different. Possibly because of the native shared library. I think the
    client can continue on 7, but I’ll take it and check it out. By the way, let’s not delete the
    binary.

    $ /usr/bin/pstack core.dat
